I met Maria and Scott through Stephanie, a sister and maid of honour to a bride of another wonderful wedding we captured last year. It's been great to get to know them over the last number of months including having the opportunity to capture their engagement session. Their wedding day was beautiful and it was in large part due to Maria's great planning! She left no details to chance and it showed throughout the day.
The day started with a very busy morning at her parents' home in North Vancouver. Maria was very ready for the day! Scott and his groomsmen were at the Church on time waiting for Maria and her bridesmaids to arrive. We captured a couple of quick glances during the ceremony... And everyone enjoyed a quick dash by the ringbearer during the ceremony! From the Church in North Vancouver, we made our way to Coal Harbour for a few images near the water. These are just a couple of my favourite images of Maria and her bouquet. We were so fortunate to have the big blue sky on Maria's wedding day. It made an amazing backdrop for Vancouver's new Convention Centre. From Coal Harbour we headed to their reception venue, the Croatian Cultural Centre in East Vancouver. The ballroom was stunning with incredible chandeliers and no shortage of added little touches. Maria's attention to detail at the reception was clear everywhere you looked. Receptions with lots of kids are always fun, and Maria and Scott's wedding was no exception. Maria and Scott's wedding cake was so admired! After a meal with too many courses to count (!), the first dance began. These were two of my favourite images of Maria and Scott - from a series of moments captured really quickly with just the two of them. Maria and Scott, thanks for the opportunity to be a part of your very special day! I should also acknowledge your entire (and big!) wedding party who were fabulously supportive, relaxed and fun on your wedding day. Congratulations on your wedding!
Also, a special thanks goes out to Katerina who braved the heat with me to cover this beautiful day.
