We first met Monica and Brandon back at the end of 2010 when we captured Mel and Fred's wedding in Mexico. We feel very fortunate to have met them them under such wonderful circumstances, and to now have captured their very own wedding here in Vancouver! This summer we also had a lot of fun getting to know them when we captured their couple session at Furry Creek (you can see all of the highlights here). Their wedding day started with each of them getting ready in Vancouver just before their ceremony. Monica's dress and shoes were simply stunning!
Their ceremony took place at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden, a lovely garden oasis in the heart of Vancouver. It's a great setting with an intimate feeling, and a wonderful location for photographs no matter what time of year.
Following their ceremony, we were again fortunate to have so much time with them and their wedding party. And huge credit goes out to their bridesmaids and groomsmen for braving a beautiful but CRISP Fall day!!
There were many fun parts to Monica and Brandon's wedding, from their lively ceremony in the Garden given by the ever-charismatic Marilyn Knipp, to the creative session, which included city, water and indoor backdrops, to the lion dance and casino entertainment at their wedding reception!
Please enjoy a few highlights from their lovely day:
Congratulations Monica and Brandon - have fun on your upcoming honeymooon!!
We want to mention a number of wedding partners who contributed to making the wedding day as enjoyable as it was: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, Jade Chinese Seafood Restaurant, Marilyn Knipp who married Monica and Brandon, George Kamiya who is one of Brandon's friends and a very gifted musician, Yonra Designs with Zara Lee for the florals, Angela Lum for the cake, and our dear friends at Marliss Productions for the cinematography.
