As wedding photographers, we see couples on the happiest day of their lives. We see their joy in each other, their laughter and their happy tears. We don't expect to see them again so soon on one of their darkest days. Today we said good-bye to one of our 2011 grooms, who sadly passed on February 3, 2013. We remember him as being a quiet and kind man, who adored his wife, and his young son, born shortly after their wedding. His smiling face will always be a part of our memory - we feel honoured to have known him and been a part of his wedding day. We write this post for two important reasons - to acknowledge and honour him and his wife, and to thank them for enriching our lives. And to remind ourselves to see the fullness and richness of our own lives, to really soak it in. Too often, we throw around words that have no meaning unless we choose to stop and listen - "Life is so fleeting, "Carpe Diem", and "We really must get together more often". Today, we are giving meaning to those words - by hugging our kids a little longer, by hugging and thanking each other, and by stopping to SEE what we have.
Today, we invite you to do the same, just because.
