It has been great getting to know Jamie and Will over the past year and a half, and more so because they came to us through one of our past lovely couples, Ashley and Eric (thanks so much, you two!). Jamie is a self-professed planner, and her previous job as a wedding planner with a cruise ship helped her, together with Will, to cultivate the wedding she'd always wanted. Hart House in Burnaby (one of our favourite heritage houses) was the setting for this wonderful affair - and it was a beautiful day where Deer Lake shone and sparkled! There was a fabulous array of details - from the beautifully draped tent, to the cupcake display (we love the gluten-free additions!), to the florals by Along Came Amy - everything was gorgeous and colourful.
Jamie herself was the belle, of course, and looked stunning in her dress. Her bridesmaids wore cute over the shoulder grey dresses with pink sashes, and the guys wore matching vests - so dapper! The whole wedding party were really fun and had great dynamics together, which made the creative session incredibly lively!
The reception was catered, of course, by Hart House's chef, Alana Peckham (whom we've had had the privilege to photograph, and whose image you can see on several No. 99 buses throughout the Broadway corridor in Vancouver!). Alana and her team created an amazing buffet with wonderfully varied and delicious food - something for which Hart House is exceptionally well-known.
It all helped to create a day that Jamie and Will loved - romantic, elegant and filled with fun.
