We love photographing weddings at Furry Creek! Not only because the scenery is completely stunning every single time we've been up there, and not only because the staff are unbelievably helpful and love weddings themselves (thanks so much, Jen!), but because it feels like we are in a land far, far away from our busy lives - and that's worth it.
One of our favourite parts of a wedding is the hustle and bustle of "getting ready" - so much anticipation and excitement of what's to come. Deana smiled from the first minute of her day until the last guest left (actually, she's been that way since we first met her last year!). Nick is a lucky guy to be surrounded by so much happiness. Speaking of Nick, he's another James Bond (we're thinking Dalton, not so much Connery), and we're sure that Deana is lucky on that account!
Several things stood out for us at this wedding - including Deana's Dad's surprise change from dress pants into shorts (it was too darn hot for those anyway!) and his beautifully restored 1964 Mercury Cougar (what a stunning red!). It's always wonderful to see each couple bring "themselves" to a wedding, and even though the result is aways wonderful at the end of the day, it's the authentic details that really make it. Deana and Nick definitely did that!
Thank you so much, Deana and Nick, for giving us the privilege of capturing your day - we hope to be a part of your future together!
