We first met Cindy late last year and then met JJ at their couple session on one of his visits to Vancouver from Chicago early this year. We loved their snowy engagement session, which we captured on one of JJ's trips back to Vancouver. It happened on top of Grouse Mountain and it was such a great way to introduce them to how we love to photograph, and for us to see how much fun they have together. We knew they'd create a wonderful wedding day together.
Their wedding day started very differently than most - a fun creative session with them and their family in Stanley Park. It was fun to wander around the park capturing their personalities as we walked - we found out that Cindy and JJ are really romantic together. :)
From there, the formal part of their day started at the Vancouver Aquarium, the location for their ceremony and dinner reception. Cindy and JJ both love animals and that was one reason they choose the Aquarium. They also wanted their wedding to be unique and memorable - and they definitely achieved that! Their ceremony was really special because they were married by JJ's pastor from the church he attended in Vancouver - and the backdrop of beluga whales added to the peace and tranquility of the ceremony.
The reception followed with great food, fine wines and funny speeches - all the makings of an elegant wedding and fun day.
Congratulations Cindy and JJ - we hope to see much more of you both in the near future!
