What CAN'T we say about Nisha and Sean's wedding? It was simply dazzling with all of the Hindu and Western elements integrated into one beautiful day.
We first got to know Nisha and Sean when they visited us last May. We connected with them immediately - they had so much in common already with Meralon since they're also transplanted Kiwis! We loved the idea that they would be planning what would amount to a destination wedding right here in beautiful Vancouver. And their wedding was spectacular!
Their day started with Nisha and her bridesmaids and family getting ready near Science World. It was lovely and the preparation looked so complex as everyone supported Nisha with her dress and her jewellery. It was all a beautiful prelude to their first look just outside of Science World!
From there, we moved on to the areas around Cecil Green Park House for their creative session. We were extra careful of the heat, but the results were beautiful against sunny and clear skies. And then following their walkabout, we were back at Cecil Green Park House. It was wonderful to photograph not just one ceremony, but two, starting with a traditional Hindu ceremony, which was lavish in colour and in ritual. It was gorgeous! Immediately following the traditional ceremony, Nisha and Sean had a brief civil ceremony.
Their evening setting on the terrace was just lovely, with the warm light streaming in past the trees. A perfect setting for their speeches and dinner! And of course lots of laughs and a few happy tears!
Congratulations Nisha and Sean - we hope you and your families enjoy the images for many years to come!
