We loved the relaxed and fun feeling in Maria and Marco's day.
It all started with Maria getting ready that morning at a lovely hair salon with her bridesmaids. When we arrived, everything was running right on time. Their wedding ceremony that followed at the magnificent Holy Rosary Cathedral was beautiful and memorable. We've photographed many times at the Holy Rosary, but it was our first time with Fr. Stanley Galvon. He was warm and friendly and created a wonderful ceremony.
Following family pictures at the Cathedral, the entire creative session took place at one of our favourite locations in Coal Harbour. The weather was beautiful for it. And then, with lots of time left, we headed to Stanley Park for a few quick images around the Lighthouse at Maria and Marco's request.
Later that afternoon, their wedding continued with their dinner reception at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was beautiful as always with an incredible view as the sun went down over the horizon, and even a quick opportunity for some images with Maria and Marco on the large terrace. We love capturing speeches at receptions, and that was certainly true at their wedding! We love the emotion that comes through as parents talk about the lives of their sons and daughters and as they welcome them into the next big step in their lives!
Thanks to Candice Jones, from a Day to Remember, who contributed to the ease in their wedding.
Congratulations Maria and Marco!! And thank you for inviting us into your day.
