An early August day marked the beautiful wedding of M&E held at the UBC John Lecky Boathouse. The bride and her girls looked radiant in shades of blue and green that day, while the boys donned their own fine suits. The ceremony, by Ann Moore, overlooked a spectacular view of the water and the planes flying overhead gave a distinctly "international" feel to the day.
The Boathouse was beautifully decorated, and the entire day was orchestrated by their planner, Stephanie Reitsma. Unbelievably delicious (and abundant!) Indian food was provided by Maharaja Catering (in honour of the groom's background), with some amazing deserts. The bride's mother also followed tradition by making a fruit cake. Aside from the usual tasty beverages, the groom included several craft beers from his favourite local breweries.
Dinner entertainment was provided by a professional emcee, who stole the evening with his jokes! We were impressed with the lovely idea of the guest thank yous - they were all written on squares of colourful fabric, which will form a quilt. So unique!
M&E - we enjoyed your wedding day so much - it was filled with love and laughter, and many lovely memories. We wish you many years of happiness!
