Taryn and Andrew chose a gorgeous Fall day to tie the knot. Fall/winter weather in Vancouver can be touch and go at the best of times, but the day dawned clear, and was even bright and sunny! The warm afternoon sun fell beautifully on Taryn as she met her beau for the first time in Yaletown.
Her dress was, as she described it, “the sparkliest thing I have ever seen”, and the sequins caught the light everywhere she went. Following the “first look” between her and Andrew, the wedding party joined, and the creative session began. Yaletown was the setting for the entire wedding day, as Brix and Mortar was the location of the reception. The party ambled along the seawall, having lots of fun with each other (and keeping warm!). Taryn and Andrew have a really playful group of friends, who enjoyed being together - it's always fun when everyone knows each other well!
Despite the afternoon chill, Taryn was very brave with her bare shoulders (although she did bring a stole that came in very handy after the sun went down!). We did stop at Starbucks for a hot drink, which helped to stave off the cold. Then it was back to Brix for the ceremony, officiated by their good friend, Morgan. Both Taryn and Andrew are very easygoing, and this fit perfectly with their vision of their wedding.
The remainder of the evening was filled with fine food and wine, plenty of frivolity (especially when the band started playing - Taryn was the Star on the dance floor!), and many touches of love and laughter.
Taryn and Andrew - we loved being a part of your day! May you have many more days of love and happiness together.
