Winter weddings are cosy, warm and have a feeling of intimacy completely different to any other time of the year.
Jessica and Robert's day centered around The Vancouver Club - a perfect location for both ceremony and reception. We started with Jessica and her girls in the room leading to the deck - hair and makeup went smoothly and everyone looked beautiful! The guys were down in the "locker room" (as we affectionately call it!), and were having fun getting ready - and actually were pretty relaxed!
Rebekah and Erin from Filosophi did a wonderful job of keeping everything on track, and by the time the ceremony came around, all guests were in place and ready to see the beautiful bride, Jessica. And beautiful she was. And tearful. And lovely.
The chill of early January meant that the creative session was mostly indoors, however, Jessica and Robert were quite comfortable having a few images outside, and it was a lovely diversion!
Then it was back into the warmth of the Club, where the Grand Ballroom was transformed into a green and white wonderland (thanks to Gloria and her team from The Flower Factory!). One of the most thoughtful ideas of the night was a beautifully-decorated table with black and white photos of many of the guests' wedding pictures - we were so tickled to see ours there as well!
After dinner, Side One kicked off the dance party, and kept guests jumping and jiving all night. Much to everyone's surprise, Jessica's Dad showed his hidden talent for drumming when he played with the band as well - he was really good!
We were so excited to start off the year with your wedding, Jessica and Robert, and we hope that every wedding in 2016 runs as smoothly as yours :)
