Caitlyn and Edwin's wedding day dawned bright and sunny (we discovered that it was to be the ONLY dry, sunny day that month!). They chose Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Gardens for their ceremony - a beautiful spot with surrounding areas of lush florals for the creative session before and after. There was much "shade-seeking" that day by all the guests, but it was lovely to feel the sun as well.
Alan Burnett of The Chapels officiated the ceremony, accompanied by melodic tunes from the harpist and violinist. Caitlyn and Edwin had so much fun together with their wedding party, and the smile never left Caitlyn's face as she made her way elegantly through the day. Following the creative session, the guests made their way to Jade Restaurant in Richmond for the dinner reception. Jade is well-known for its amazing seafood, and it did not disappoint. The spectacular array of food is always impressive, especially when accompanied by the professional-looking servers with trays atop their hands.
The evening was a mixture of Chinese and Western traditions - namely a Tea Ceremony and the Shoe Game - as well as speeches and table-toasting. The overwhelming feeling of the night was frivolity and happiness - and they looked as though they had a blast every moment.
Caitlyn and Edwin - we loved your wedding day, and we wish you many more years of toasts and cheer!
