Well, not exactly IN Stanley Park, but pretty close to it! Bethany and Steven had a really great idea for their couple session - they wanted to do a chocolate fondue with red wine - an idea we completely jumped on! Those two food groups should never be far apart. The setting was Bethany's Dad's apartment on the edge of Stanley Park, so after indulging in the fondue, we stepped into the park for a lovely Fall walk around Lost Lagoon. The light in Fall has such a special quality - particularly in the latter part of the day, so we took advantage of it, and spent a couple of hours strolling through the park. We found out that Bethany and Steven have actually known each other for about 7 years (they still REALLY like each other!) - and just last year decided to make it official. We are so honoured to be a part of their day next Spring - it's going to be a gorgeous event!
Enjoy some highlights from their session.

We first met Nicole at a women's networking group (well, Meralon did - Randal didn't go for obvious reasons!), and the two girls immediately clicked. Then Nicole became engaged to Brett - and we started talking weddings! Nicole's career choice as a personal trainer (owner of Le Physique) worked out well for us, as we now look really buff for her wedding in September - and she is an amazing personal trainer. She's knowledgable, professional, fun, and totally fit! Together, Nicole and Brett are downright adorable - really playful and wacky - and they have a sweet little dog called Shadow, (who loves to come to work with Nicole and lick your head while you're doing sit-ups - it's not distracting at all!). Of course, Shadow was a big part of their couple session, as you will see below, and Nicole and Brett love to play with him. Their session started right in front of Le Physique in False Creek, and from there we walked around the seawall, stopping along to way to jump in trees and hang out in yoga poses.
We can't wait to see you coming down the aisle, Nicole - and we are waiting on tender hooks for "those words" to fly out of your mouth at some point during the day!

Nicole is the last of a family of sisters to be married with us - we photographed her twin sisters, Maryann and Stephanie (who are both expanding their own families!) a few years ago, and now it will be Nicole's turn in August! We feel so privileged to be invited back to another of this family's special times. Nicole and Mike chose colourful areas for their Gastown engagement photography session - Nicole was so excited about it she sent us a few pictures days before their session - we loved her picks and were already familiar with them! We love the colour and contrast this part of the city brings - and we LOVE Nicole's cute summery dress and pink shoes - so stylish.
We're excited about their wedding coming up in Coal Harbour in just over a month - it'll be like a family reunion for us!
